The UK government has announced changes to alcohol duty rates, which will come into effect on 1 August 2023. The changes will increase the duty rates on many alcoholic products produced in, or imported into, the UK. 

 

Who is likely to be affected?

Individuals and businesses involved in the manufacture, distribution, holding, sale and consumption of alcoholic products. This includes anyone selling alcohol in the UK, no matter the setting.
