The event took place at South Africa House, London, where some of our South African wines were served.
Among these, were Rhino Tears – a range of wines from Mount Vernon – launched in aid to help with the fight against rhino poaching.
The SANParks Honorary Rangers, in association with Mount Vernon Wines, launched a blended red, white and rose range.
R15 from every bottle sold goes directly to the SANParks Honorary Rangers to be used in the fight against poaching. So far, the initiative have raised over R 1 000 000.

The funds raised are used to purchase equipment and train rangers on the frontline. The money is spent on basic bush gear for the rangers protecting the Kruger National Park. Funds also go towards special projects such as the Kruger National Park canine training facility, where dogs are trained to track and hunt down poachers.
SSW Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape was served along with award-winning Bergsig Pinotage from one of South Africa’s most picturesque valleys.
The wines championed a great cause as well as helped celebrate Mandela’s living legacy.
