28 Apr 2014 North WesT Wine importer EWGA Wines is expanding one of its warehouses in Warton to provide additional storage capacity for its national wine business.

WAREHOUSE EXPANSION FOR EWGA WINES

EWGA Wines, founded in 1972, is expanding one of its bonded warehouses near Carnforth by adding 5,000 sq ft of space. This expansion will support the company’s growing national business and provide storage and distribution services for Leeds-based wine importer Bottle Green, which relies on EWGA for its national logistics.

Currently, EWGA employs 26 staff and continues to grow its portfolio, having acquired No 9 Wines in Hertfordshire last year. Beyond its robust warehouse and wine storage facilities, EWGA also operates wholesale, trade, retail, and agency divisions, serving a diverse range of clients across the UK.

Managing Director Adrian Moeckell expressed his pride in the team’s growth and success, stating, “I am immensely proud of the outstanding team of staff we have developed over the last 15 years. There are no real barriers to future growth as the UK and European economies recover.”

Established by Pamela and Gerald Moeckell, EWGA relocated to state-of-the-art facilities in Warton in 2007. The warehouse expansion represents yet another milestone in its ongoing development, positioning the company for even greater success in the coming years.
