About

Founded in 1938, J.M. Aujoux stands as a beacon of quality and tradition in the Beaujolais-Mâconnais wine region. Situated between the Roche de Solutré, the birthplace of Pouilly-Fuissé, and Mont Brouilly, in the heart of Fleurie, our estate is bordered by one hectare of organically grown vines. This strategic location and our commitment to excellence have earned us recognition both in France and globally.

Our journey began with Mr. Amann, a Swiss businessman who acquired the former “Beaujolais Wine Company” and renamed it Aujoux SA in 1954 after Jean Marc Aujoux, a visionary leader. Over the years, we have expanded through strategic mergers, including acquiring the renowned Jacques Dépagneux brand in 1996 and venturing into the Languedoc-Roussillon region in 2002 with Signatures de Sud.

Today, J.M. Aujoux owns the prestigious 2.6-hectare Viré-Clessé Clos du Chapitre, a Burgundian monopole, and produces a diverse range of wines that highlight the best of each terroir. Our vineyards are meticulously managed with sustainable practices and certified by Terra Vitis and High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3.

Our philosophy revolves around sincerity, reflected in our relationships with winemakers, our commitment to environmental sustainability, and our dedication to producing wines that are accessible to all. We offer a wide array of wines, from Beaujolais Crus like Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon Côte du Py to Burgundy Crus such as Viré-Clessé and Pouilly-Fuissé. Our portfolio also includes vibrant, fruit-forward wines perfect for casual gatherings.

With modern facilities in La Chapelle de Guinchay and a dynamic team, we produce and market 10 million bottles annually. J.M. Aujoux remains dedicated to crafting wines that authentically express the character of their soils and climates, ensuring every bottle reflects our core values of Pleasure, Generosity, and Exigency.
