Founded in 1890 by the Artacho family, Bodegas Riojanas has over a century of winemaking excellence, combining tradition with modern techniques to produce high-quality wines. Located in Cenicero, La Rioja, this prestigious winery controls more than 300 hectares of vineyards in the best areas of Rioja Alta, including Cenicero, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and nearby towns. The winery is particularly noted for its cultivation of Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano grapes, which contribute to the distinctive personality of its wines.

Throughout its long history, Bodegas Riojanas has evolved, incorporating state-of-the-art winemaking techniques while respecting local traditions. Bodegas Riojanas is renowned for several iconic brands, including Viña Albina, Monte Real, and Puerta Vieja. In 1996, the winery expanded by acquiring Bodegas Torreduero in Toro, further diversifying its portfolio with wines from various Spanish regions. The company continued its expansion with the acquisition of Bodegas Viore in Rueda and Bodegas Veiga Naúm in Rías Baixas, known for their Albariño wines.
