About

Founded in 1947 by Albert Baron, Baron Albert Champagne is a testament to three generations of dedication and passion for winemaking. Based in Charly-sur-Marne, at the heart of the Marne Valley, the vineyard spans an impressive 55 hectares. The vines are meticulously cultivated, comprising 65% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Noir, which contribute to the unique character of Baron Albert Champagnes.

The legacy initiated by Albert Baron is now carried forward by his three granddaughters, who bring their unique skills and expertise to the family business. Their father, Claude Baron, a seasoned winemaker, collaborates with his daughters to continue the family tradition.

Lise Baron, with her precise and practical nature, oversees the vineyards and winemaking process. She remains deeply rooted in Charly-sur-Marne, ensuring that the highest standards of vine-growing and winemaking are maintained. Claire Baron, a qualified viticulturist and oenologist, manages sales and is often on the move, engaging with clients and expanding the brand’s reach both in France and internationally. The third sister, Aline Baron, combines her expertise in biochemistry, microbiology, and oenology to continually enhance the production process through experimentation and technical innovation.

Claude and Lise work together in the vineyards and cellars, ensuring that each bottle of Champagne reflects the family’s commitment to quality. Their efforts have not only sustained but also elevated the family Champagne House, making Baron Albert a name synonymous with exquisite Champagne.
