Big Thumbs Up for Xipella
Our Xipella range from Clos Mont Blanc is another pair of wines to gain great praise from Andreas Larrson, a Swedish sommelier who in 2007 was voted World’s Best Sommelier by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale. The name XIPELLA pays homage to the Conca de Barbera region where it hails from – Xipella is the name for their dialect of the Catalan language.
Xipella Tinto 2016 has an intense dark red colour, with aromas of ripe fruit, mineral notes and a hint of oak. On the palate, it is gentle and sweet with fine tannins. It has earned 90 points from Andreas Larrson.
Xipella Blanco 2020 is pale yellow in colour with greenish flexes. On the nose, there are blended aromas of pear and apple, with notes of fresh lime. It has a pleasantly fresh palate with crisp acidity. This amazing wine has also scored 90 points from Andreas Larrson.
The Attis Albarino ‘Xion’ has helped Attis gain almost cult-like status in its home country of Spain it has also gained a rating of 88 – recommended from Decanter.
