South Island Sauvignon Blanc

Just before Christmas (2017), we took delivery of our very own New Zealand brand, South Island, Sauvignon Blanc.

We have shared the Southern Lights label with Discovery Wines/Bottle Green/Kingsland for many years but the acquisition by Kingsland last year motivated us to search for our very own brand. The juice has been sourced from the Wine Portfolio which is where we get our very popular Penny Lane from and the juice arrived in a bulk tank in early December before being bottled at Greencroft in Darlington.

Sourced from the Valleys in the Marlborough wine region. This Sauvignon Blanc displays the flavour profile, that is inescapably Marlborough.

Aromas of citrus with subtle tropical aromas of gooseberry and passionfruit. The palate is fruit-forward with a fresh clean finish. The best parcels of fruit have been selected, which best represent the quality of the season and the vineyards.

The brand is still going strong in 2024, and we recently decided to re-design it. It now sports a black label with silver accents. New South Island Sauvignon Blanc design:
