Carla Raads is a contemporary artist whose work explores our connection to landscape through abstraction, texture and light.
Her ongoing Cartography collection captures not simply how a place looks, but how it feels. Each original work is inspired by a specific location and anchored by its geographical coordinates, creating a lasting connection between the artwork and the landscape that inspired it.
For The Art of Terroir, this gives each collector the opportunity to commission a piece that is uniquely their own, before that original artwork is carried through onto their bespoke wine collection.

Working personally with EWGA Wines, you will explore he wines available for your commission and select one that will form the foundation of your private collection.
300 bottles are then reserved for you, creating a limited collection that is distinctly your own.

It might be somewhere connected to your family, a landscape you return to time and again, the setting of an important moment, or simply somewhere that has always held meaning.
It’s coordinates create a permanent connection to that place and become a subtle signature carried throughout the finished commission.

Carla interprets your chosen place through her distinctive approach to abstraction, atmosphere, texture and light.
The result is not a reproduction of a landscape, but an original painting capturing its character and emotional significance.

Once the painting is complete, the artwork is translated into the visual identity of your wine.
Your bespoke front label is created around the original work, accompanied by a personalised back label and the details unique to your commission.

The collection is completed with wooden presentation cases, signed documentation and a Certificate of Authenticity, with the geographical coordinates of your chosen place carried throughout.

Where possible, the completed commission is personally presented by Carla Raads and EWGA Wines, bringing together the artwork, the wine and the story behind them.
