EWGA, which is based in Warton near Carnforth, said the purchase of Heritage Wines would further strength its presence in the south and add an important hub serving London to the group. Heritage Wines is based in Wotton-under-Edge and managing director Guy Adams will stay on a consultancy business, along with the majority of its sales team and all the head office and bond staff. EWGA managing director Adrian Moeckell said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to integrate this well respected regional wholesaler into our existing portfolio. During the course of this process we have been impressed by the high standard of the operation and its personnel; we look forward to working with them.” Guy Adams added: “I am delighted to be handing over to EWGA, the synergy between the two companies is uncannily strong. “The move for Heritage Wine will be a positive step for all our existing 500 plus customer base adding even more wines to what will be an all encompassing portfolio. “Old Cider Mill Bonded warehouse will act as a southern base enabling EWGA to add more bonded facilities across the South West. https://www.insidermedia.com/insider/northwest/129948-ewga-buys-gloucestershire
